The Eagle River Property consists of 141 mineral claims (Figure 2.2) located in the north-western limit of
the Mauricie area in the Quebec Province totalling approximately 7,972 hectares. The approximate centre of the Property is located at 464,000m E and 5,420,000mN (from coordinate system WGS84 UTM Zone 18N). The Property is typical of the greenstone-hosted quartz-carbonate (GQC) gold-vein style of deposit and/or the gold-rich volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS) style of deposit.
The central Property area is characterized by a massive to foliated granodiorite to tonalite with massive biotite. In the southern portion of the claim block the area is characterized by a hornblende-biotite-magnetite-rich tonalite which displays foliated to gneissic textures. In the northeastern and eastern portions of the Eagle River Property are small outcroppings of the glomerophyric, massive to pillowed basalts, and massive (and often) vesicular magnetic komatiites of the Archean Lacroix formation as well as massive biotite tonalitic intrusions.
ESGold Makes Strategic Investment at Windfall Lake – November 29, 2016
ESGold Corp. acquired 77 claims or 4,354 contiguous hectares in the Windfall Lake gold district, Quebec. The Eagle River project is located south of Osisko Mining’s Windfall Lake project and is adjacent to Bonterra Resources Inc.’s Gladiator project in the Urban-Berry area of Quebec. The Management of ESGold is intimately familiar with the structure of the Windfall Lake project as they developed the mineralization model. The mineralization structure continues to the south and has been shown to strengthen as it hits Bonterra’s Gladiator project. ESGold ’s newly acquired claims lie directly to the south of these recent discoveries.
“ESGold has taken advantage of this rare acquisition opportunity to acquire the Eagle River claims that lie directly in the path of the known gold mineralization at the Windfall Lake Camp,” stated Brad Kitchen, C.E.O. and Chairman of ESGold Corp. “This is a strategic investment that will not divert funds from its exploration of the Duvay/Chenier claims but will add additional value for our shareholders as the Windfall Lake area develops.”
